Changing your Linkit settings with Configit
The Configit’s primary purpose is to enable the Linkit to switch between DHCP and Static IP networks. The Linkit is shipped with DHCP enabled which is the most typical network environment.
The Configit is a tool that provides the ability to change settings in the Linkit, and you’ll need a terminal program on your PC to talk to the Configit. We recommend PuTTY, which is free and available on the web. Our instructions assume you are using PuTTY. Follow these steps to get PuTTY onto your PC:
- Download PuTTY by clicking here:
putty-0.76-installer.msi - When the download is complete, double-click on the file to install it
